The Newfoundand Dog "Beauty without vanity, strength without insolence, courage without ferociity and all the virtues of man without his vices" Lord Byron ![]() Between us we own approximately 30 Newfies, 2 St Bernards, 1 Bernese, 1 Pyrennean, 2 DDB's and 3 Labs. We boast years of experience in Carting, Water work, Breeding, Showing, Grooming and Judging. Some of us have only a few years whilst others have 15 - 20 years of knowledge to share. ![]() There are no cliques in our group. Anyone is welcome to come and have a look at how we operate and join in the fun. During 2011 we started to rent 2 training lakes. We have one at Bocking near Braintree and one at Weeley near Clacton on Sea and during the warmer months, May to September we alternate between them on a weekly basis when we are not committed to any Shows. 2012 looks positive as we have no intention of giving any of the Lakes up and the owners are keen to maintain the relationship that we have with them.

We are a group of passionate and dedicated owners of Newfies and other breeds who have come together from different parts of Essex, Suffolk and Middlesex to work with our dogs, promote their health and well-being and just enjoy each others company. ![]() In 2011 we have supported Oakleigh Fairs and Aztec Events with weekend shows as well Thetford Youth Day and Lakenheath Village Fete. In April 2011 we were the main attraction at the National Police Dog Trials in Ipswich which attracted over 10,000 visitors. We also raise money for Newfoundland Welfare with £245 at the end of 2010. We also helped Headway Brain Injury Unit in Colchester by supporting their annual coastal Dogathon. We meet most Sundays at a diverse range of locations in order that we can train, exercise and socialise our dogs as well as have a laugh and enjoy a cuppa. We go for country walks, we swim at one of our two training lakes, we do some carting and prepare ourselves for the summer months, where we are actively engaged in carting demonstrations and arena parades at various country shows around the south east of England. ![]() |
