All About Dogs - Newbury Showground - 14th & 15th April 2012
Again the weather was terrible, the wind and cold played havoc but dog lovers turned out in their hundreds to support the Three Counties Newfoundlands Fun Dog Show. 142 dogs were registered on Saturday with 165 on Sunday. Far beyond our expectations. A massive thank you to all those that supported us and thanks too goes to Aztec events for allowing us to run the dog show. A special thanks goes to Karen who came straight off a night shift to help us with registrations and judging also to Nancy and Joan for nearly freezing to death in their tents on Saturday Night. Nancy's hair actually froze!!! Just goes to show the commitment of some of our members.
All About Dogs - Trinity Park, Ipswich - 8th & 9th April 2012
Easter weekend and the weather was terrible, rain and wind dampened the event but failed to dampen the spirits of all the dog lovers who turned out in their hundreds to support the Three Counties Newfoundlands Fun Dog Show. 215 dogs were registered on Sunday with 155 on Monday. Far beyond our expectations. A massive thank you to all those that supported us and thanks too goes to Aztec events for allowing us to run the dog show.Scotsdales Nursery and Garden Centre, Cambridge - 12/11/11 - 10/12/11 - 17/12/11 Three Counties Newfoundlands supported Norfolk Newfies who were responsible for making sure that Santa was taken safely to his Grotto by a pair of Newfs. The weather was cold but dry on all of the saturdays that we attended. The crowds were great and the display and parade of Newfies and Joans crew with their Christmas carts was superb. The hosts really looked after us and their staff were a credit to them. Over the 3 dates we raised on excess of £1350 for the David Raynor Cancer Centre. A big thank you to all those that donated and supported this excellent cause. Click on the picture to see some photographs. |
Newfoundland Welfare Three Counties Newfoundlands would like to thank all those people at the country shows and events throughout 2011 for supporting us and Newfoundland Welfare by contributing towards our Loose Change Appeal. Throughout 2011 we raised £245 for Newfoundland Welfare and a cheque has been sent to the National Co-ordinator. | ![]() |
Robin Hood Game and Country Show - Trinity Park - Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th October 2011 A superb venue and a successful show run by Aztec events. Saturday was quite cold and blustery but Sunday, following a rainy start to the day, warmed up a little. Three Counties Newfoundlands were not in the arena for a carting display but we did run a fun dog show on both days. 36 dogs of all breeds and ages joined in the fun on Saturday and 53 on Sunday. A great end to a busy year | ![]() |
Help for Hounds - Spirit of the Dog - Weeley - Sunday 11th September 2011 Although the winds were getting up as the tail end of Hurricane Katia reached the UK, the sun shone and it was really warm at times throughout the day. We only got the chance of this show about 3 weeks prior to the event but it was excellent to see a full turnout of the group. We did 2 arena displays with 18 dogs on show and 9 carts. We also had a couple of 5 month old Newfies who joined us, so the crowds were treated to a great show | ![]() |
Hainault Country Show - Oakleigh Fairs - Sunday 28th - Monday 29th August 2011 A lovely venue and a great show run by Oakleigh Fairs. The weather wasn't too kind on the Sunday and the crowds stayed away. 2 parades in the arena for us, but the second one was cut short due to a downpour. We had 12 dogs and 7 carts in the arena with us. Monday was better weather and the crowds were great. The stall was busy all day and the arena parades went down well. click on the picture to see more of the days events. |
